White Pizza Recipe That Will Knock Your Guest’s Socks Off

The Looney Foodie loves building on prior victories.

If you look back, this white pizza recipe will rely on your having a great pizza dough recipe, which we have covered, and also the process to place the dough onto a pan or a pizza stone and turn it into a crispy crust that you will use to make any pizza that you want.

In many ways, this article has already been written by me, but you have to get that knowledge under your belt in order to make a white pizza recipe that will surprise even a pizza chef.

A White Pizza Recipe is Just a Pizza Recipe Without Sauce

That sounds catchy, doesn’t it?

Once you read those articles linked above and write down what you need to, or bookmark them, you come back here to this article to learn about how to turn that into a white pizza.

For the white pizza  recipe – the actual cheese part of this, you’ll need:

3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
2 teaspoons chopped fresh oregano leaves, or dried ones will also do if that’s all you have

What you want to do once you have your crust in the pan, or on the stone, and partially cooked, is spread olive oil over the crust and then spread the mozzarella over the crust evenly, and then spoon the ricotta over the mozzarella evenly until the entire crust, save for the edge crust, or lip, is covered.

Now lightly salt and pepper the whole top and then sprinkle some of the oregano.  Lightly with the oregano since it has a strong flavor and you don’t want it to be overpowering.

Since my recipes are superior and do a partial crust cook before adding the rest of the ingredients, you can place this back into your oven for about 20 minutes until complete.

Check it and make sure the cheese is bubbling and well cooked without the crust being burned.

Now you can take it out and let it cool for about 10-15 minutes.

You don’t want to cut into a white pizza, or any pizza, too quickly.

The way that I taught you to make the crust is superior because we partially cooked it so that the crust under the pizza ingredients is cooked partially and less prone to staying soft and mushy.

Many of these so called pizza cooks and their online recipes never take this into account and their pizza is mushy and doughy underneath.

Not mine… and if you followed me, not your either!

This white pizza recipe can also be augmented with other cheeses.

Notice that the ingredients above mentioned ricotta and mozarella.

You can also add other cheeses like grated parmesan cheese, and provolone.

These will add another dimension.

Want to bump up the class, add some crumbled goat cheese to it as well.

Now you’ve arrived, and your white pizza recipe will really knock your guests socks off.

Good luck, and check out my other articles on this blog for some other great ideas.
